In addition to buying pear cider, lettuce, pears, an apple, a bell pepper, and a small squash at the farmers’ market, I went to the local Democratic table there (I live in a very blue part of Virginia). I said that I wasn’t a Democrat, but was largely voting that way since the Party of Lincoln had become the Trumpublican Party, and was treated warmly. I picked up a sample ballot; I plan to vote for the Libertarian candidate for County Board, and to vote no on the bond issues, since I haven’t heard of a compelling reason to vote yes. Otherwise, the sample ballot looks like a reasonable guide.

My wife is working the election tomorrow after working the weekend at the observatory, it's pretty grueling flipping her sleep schedule like that. They were desperate to get a Dem to work the election in such a red area.

I really need to read up on the election, I have no idea who's running and what ballot measures might be up. It's rare I'm so uninformed, even on off-year elections.
