This past week, I haven’t been getting in my usual exercises, which are largely associated with my office. (I take a break Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to do some push-ups, and then do more after an hour or so, and so forth; Tuesdays and Thursdays I try to do crunches on a mat of old newspapers.) Also, I get exercise walking up stairs at the Patent Office, as well as on the stairs at the King Street Metro station, and in my own apartment building.
This coming week, I am resolved to resume. Meanwhile, since I didn’t shop at the Whole Foods store near the Patent Office on Saturday, I went to the Whole Foods store near Pentagon City today; that meant about a three and a half mile round trip, with the return leg carrying a bag of groceries, while I got hungry. Once I got home, I ate lunch, and then took a nap. Also, I managed 185 steps up stairs today; I’ll try to do some more to approach or reach my quota of 400.
