Leffe Beer
Oct. 30th, 2018 09:49 pmQuite some time ago, I bought a six bottle pack of Leffe Brown, a Belgian beer. I have long had one bottle left, and I rinsed it off for consumption this week. I checked the date, and found that it had expired five months ago, but I figured that at worst, it would have an off taste, or not be quite what it should be.
I drank half of the bottle with dinner yesterday, and half tonight. (You may have gathered that I am not the beer industry’s best customer.) It was still dark, flavorful beer, and went well with the borsch I made last week. Leffe also makes a good blonde beer; I remember drinking a glass of that when I went out to dinner with my sister and her family, probably in December of 2016, and that led me to buy the Leffe Brown when I saw it at the local supermarket.
This is an unpaid, unsolicited praise for a good brew from someone who is not a notable drinker of beer.
