Asimov's Birthday

ndrosenOn January 2, I wished a couple of people a happy Asimov's Birthday. Alas, not everyone is my kind of nerd; the clerk at Best Buy (I stopped to buy a phone card on my way home) didn't really know who he was, and when I told him that Isaac Asimov had been a writer, asked what he had written.
"Several hundred books," I said. He asked for an example, and I replied that he had written the Foundation trilogy, the clerk didn't recognize that SF classic. Oh, well.
