I picked up a print copy of the Washington Examiner this morning, and found an article on Altoona and its land-only property tax, mentioning the Center for the Study of Economics, with which I have been involved for many years, and several Georgist friends. Altoona taxed only land for a few years, and has now returned to taxing both land and buildings.

I would like to add that while we cannot point to any big projects which happened because of the land-only tax, I believe we did have evidence of a general increase in construction permits following the tax reform.
