Christmas Pleasures

When I was seven years old, I think I would have reacted with puzzlement and disbelief if someone had said to me, "Someday, you will enjoy Christmas primarily for the opportunity to sleep late, and then take a nap after a late breakfast," but that's what I enjoyed today. Last night, I stayed up late folding the laundry and such; tomorrow morning, I will get up early to resume toiling in the white-collar salt mines. Tonight, I will eat a late supper, and prepare a few things to mail.
