Eighties Clothing

The 3600 Technology Center of the Patent Office had a holiday party today with an 80s theme, so I went to work wearing a jacket and tie. Specifically, as I pointed out to several people there, I was wearing the jacket my father bought me before I headed off to college in 1981, and the tie and tie clip that I bought for myself later, as a graduate student at UT Austin in the later 80's. One friend of mine told me, "By Patent Office standards, your clothes are modern."

I just wish they hadn't played 80s music, unless they had made it music of the 1780's.
