If you follow a couple of my friends on Dreamwidth, or you're on the Bujold list, you probably know by now that Meg Justus died of cancer on Wednesday, November 22. May she rest in peace.

I just want to say that more than a year ago, she was disposing of some things she owned before traveling around major parts of the United States and Canada, with emphasis on the national parks. I bought tapes of a couple of Bujold novels. A bit later, I had dinner with Meg and some other Bujold listees in Maryland, not too far from D.C. and my own home in Arlington. I never did get around to listening to the tapes until now, when I listened to the beginning of Shards of Honor, and remembered Meg.

She also wrote books of her own, as M.M. Justus, and we can help keep the memory of her alive by reading, or rereading, those.

In case any of your friends are interested in taking a look at Meg's books, the main link is: http://mmjustus.com/ninety-percent-history-ten-percent-fantasy/. First chapters are available for many of them, as teasers.
