I attended the Collegiate Inventors Competition this morning. There were both graduate and undergraduate students with posters and other stuff showing what they had accomplished, and they had done some impressive work in engineering, biomedicine, electronics, and, in the case of a pair of young researchers from Iowa, ag science. It's good to know that there are students out there who are not majoring in Ethnic Grievance Studies or Disrupting Unpopular Speakers.

I didn't get any new amendments this week. A colleague of mine signed and returned an Examiner's Answer of mine to me Monday, after my supervisor had signed it, so I was able to post that, and let the Board of Appeals decide, in due course, who has the better arguments. I also dealt with two other amendments, so I should be down to eight Regular Amended and two Special Amended cases. (I should be, except that I still see nine Regular Amendments, because my latest one isn't fully processed; however, other tools show that case as having an Office Action written and accepted.)

I also finished an Office Action on my one Special New case; next week, I hope to work on my oldest Regular New, and maybe another amendment.
