Visual Aura

Earlier this month, I posted an entry titled “Private Light Show,” describing the colors I had seen; I suspected a connection to the floater in my left eye. Friday morning, I went to the optometrist, and told her about the experience. She asked whether I had experienced a migraine, which, fortunately, I had not. She told me that this appeared to be a visual aura, a neurological phenomenon, rather than ocular condition, and that if she had been examining my eyes when it happened, she would probably not have detected anything.
