ndrosenSome of you may remember that back in 2022, I was dating a lady. She broke up with me, and when we met again in early 2023, just for tea and a snack, the meeting went badly, and she refused any further communication. I sent her Christmas cards.
Then, some time ago, she wanted to talk with me about a problem she was having, so I made myself available for a telephone conversation, and lent her a sympathetic ear and what advice I could offer. She got back to me, told me that the problem was resolved, and thanked me for having accepted her call on short notice.
So, although we are not courting, she seems willing to treat me with a measure of goodwill. I’m rather inner-directed, but I still prefer having someone whom I once hoped to marry regard me favorably, rather than as an offensive boor who hurt her.
