I have heard it proclaimed that cancel culture isn’t a thing, something that I did not believe. There is, of course, room for disagreement over just what counts as cancel culture, and where to draw the line between boycotting an utter scoundrel and trying to silence a woman who voices unpopular, but not obviously false or evil, views.
