Back on Thursday, I did not make one of my standard meals (I had some split pea and sweet potato curry in the refrigerator, which I left there for Friday evening). Instead, I ate falafel, opening a package of falafel mix which I had had for quite while, and making patties to fry in a modest amount of oil (not balls to deep fry). I lightly fried some green bell pepper as well, and I made another vegetable dish, carrots and parsnips braised in water and apple cider, with some cinnamon and nutmeg added. I followed the main course with salad, and then with ginger snaps spread with marmalade and topped with candied ginger.
