Thanks and Praise to Someone at the Post Office

The latest issue of Reason magazine arrived in the mail today — well, now it’s yesterday — with the address label having fallen off. Someone had written by building address and apartment number on the cover, and made sure that it was delivered. That’s good service.

It happens that on December 24, after the mail delivery (I had hoped to do this before the day’s delivery) I placed a Christmas present in my mailbox, raspberry preserves and Adriatic fig preserves wrapped in festive paper as a present for the postman or postwoman. The package was gone, so I hope that virtue was rewarded.

Theoretically I could write my zip and plus four with nothing else and it would be delivered as that points directly to my PO Box. We don't have street delivery, everyone has to drive down to the post office and pick up their mail.
