Kevin McCarthy, Squish

I got an email appealing to me to support real conservatives, instead of “squishes” like Kevin McCarthy, who is alleged to be insufficiently zealous in his opposition to the Democrats. And who is a genuine, true-blue (or in current usage, true-red) conservative? Matt Gaetz, it seem, who was allegedly a sponsor of the email. I clicked on “unsubscribe”.

It actually is possible to describe Kevin McCarthy as a squish, but because he remains a Trump suck-up, who doesn’t stand up for the Constitution and what used to be conservative principles; Matt Gaetz, however, wouldn’t understand such things.

It's going to be interesting if the Repubs take the house and neither Kev nor Matt get the Speaker position. Kev's not too popular with his caucus, much less getting a majority of the entire House.
