Blood Donation and CDs

There was a bloodmobile outside the Patent Office complex in Alexandria today, so I went there and donated blood; I also took the opportunity to go inside, and up to my old office, for the first time in more than a year. I fear that my plants are dead from dehydration, but I threw out some junk, put some paper in a bin for recycling, and retrieved several bags of CDs and other stuff I can use. There are quite an assortment of CDs, ranging from John Dowland to J.S. Bach to O’Carolan to Grieg to Echo’s Children and Heather Alexander. It’s been well over a year, maybe several years, since I last heard Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, so I should surely listen to it again soon.
I filled out the Inova Blood Donor Services survey, and said that I had been treated courteously and all that, except that they played ugly music while I was first giving blood, and then sitting around drinking water and recuperating. I made suggestions for improvement.
