Discussion and a Death

ndrosenThe good news is that the Philadelphia City Council is at least discussing land value taxation. We have tried to influence Philadelphia before, and I’ll see what comes of the current attempt to reform taxes there.
The bad news is that my friend Walter Rybeck, whose life we celebrated on Zoom back in March, died on the third of May; I posted twice a month or so ago about our Zoom discussion. I have sent my condolences to his son Rick, who replied graciously, together with his other son Alex. Walter Rybeck was a Georgist stalwart, and one of the few remaining veterans of World War Two. Rest In Peace.
