The Red Queen’s Race
Dec. 12th, 2020 03:41 amThis week, I got one After Final Amendment on my Expedited docket, which I dealt with; I also finished Office Actions on the two amendments on my Amended docket. Yet further, the Board of Appeals affirmance case case that had been on my Expedited docket is no longer there; the applicant filed a Request for Continued Examination, and amended the claims, so now it’s on Regular New docket, and I will in due course consider it again. For the present, I have nothing on my Amended or Expedited dockets.
I have been working on my oldest Regular New application, but I’m not finished yet.
Examining patent applications is usually indoor work with no heavy lifting, but on Friday afternoon, it wasn’t. I had requested a new box of paper for my desktop printer, and it arrived, but it was delivered to a sort of overflow room in the next building, two hundred paces from my own apartment building. I carried it back, but I had to put it down several times on the way, since it was both heavy and clumsy. I managed to get it to the elevator, and then another fifty paces or so from the elevator to my own apartment.
