The Lincoln Project

The Washington Post runs occasional columns by Gary Abernathy, giving a Midwestern Trumpist’s views to broaden the education of the paper’s Blue State (and very Blue city) readers. I don’t much like Mr. Abernathy’s columns, and I didn’t like this Friday’s column, titled “The Lincoln Project feels scorned, but the GOP never loved it back.” It is replete with childish insults, and I don’t fully agree with Abernathy’s analysis, to the extent that he is at all analytical, but I do have to agree with him on one big point: Face it, classical liberals and honorable conservatives, today’s Trumpublican Party just isn’t that into you.
