The Red Queen’s Race

This week, I got one new amendment; I’ve been searching the prior art, but haven’t written an Office Action, so I now have one amendment on my Amended docket p, and one Board of Appeals decision affirming a rejection of mine on my Expedited docket.

I have also completed Office Actions on my oldest non-RCE Regular New application, and then on my oldest (and only) Request for Continued Examination application. Two more weeks until the end of the Fiscal Year.

Epoch Times

A copy of a newspaper, The Epoch Times, published by Falun Dafa, aka Falun Gong, arrived in the mail Wednesday. I remember having sympathy for Falun Gong because they were persecuted by the Chinese Communist government, and I still don’t think that people who practice traditional exercises and believe in what I see as twaddle should be persecuted, but I can’t say that I’m favorably impressed with what the American branch of the group has become. The newspaper was full of accusations against President Biden, which I, a non-admirer of his, find highly implausible, and a sheet of paper inviting me to subscribe had quotations from such Trumpist luminaries as Sebastian Gorka and Peter Navarro. Dr. Navarro has sunk in my estimation from incompetent economist to insurrectionist.

The newspaper and subscription invitation went into recycled paper.
