ndrosenToday was my favorite economist’s one hundred and eightieth birthday, falling, appropriately, on Labor Day; I celebrated Labor Day by going to the office to labor, and Henry George Day by scratching off the covering material on a Virginia lottery ticket. Unfortunately, doing the latter made me no richer, so I’m not going to make an extra contribution to a Georgist organization.
If anyone wishes to help cut taxes on labor and have the owners of land pay for the benefits they receive, you can help by mailing a check to Center for the Study of Economics, 1501 Cherry Street, Philadelphia PA 19102. This request does not apply to you if you have business before the Patent Office, or it would otherwise be improper for me to make such a suggestion.
