This week, I got one new case on my Amended docket, although it was not exactly an amendment; it was an Appeal Brief, arguing that I mis-analyzed the issues when I wrote a Final Rejection. I met with my supervisor and another person on Thursday, and received authorization to write an Examiner’s Answer, after which the Board of Appeals will decide who has the sounder case. I have not actually started writing.

I did complete Office Actions on two of my existing amendments, and I called a patent attorney about a third amendment earlier this week; I’m hoping that his client will be amenable to letting him agree to let me amend the claims as I proposed, and then I should be able to allow the case. So I’m currently at three cases on my Amended docket.

I have been searching the prior art for my oldest Regular New case, but so far, I’m not through searching, and haven’t written anything.
