Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day was two days ago, almost three, and this was my fourth Mother’s Day without a living mother. I spent time thinking of my mother, going over memories from toddlerhood and much later, thinking of that final visit in 2014, and of being with her at the end. Whatever our quarrels sometimes, she was a caring mother who loved me far beyond my deserts.

Both our moms have been dead for several years now, so I completely forgot about Mother's Day until after the fact. The only thing was, we went to Golden Corral extra early to avoid crowds. I took a purse & scavenged lots of cookies we're still finishing up. Otoh, the anniversary of her death is this week. I'll be giving blood, & we're going to a Doubleclicks concert. I think she would've approved.
