Appeal from Eric Trump

I received a letter yesterday purporting to be from that noted intellectual, Eric Trump, appealing for a political contribution, and assuming that I was a Trumpist. Eric T. told me that he was sure that I had poured my soul into getting Dishonest Donald elected, or words to that effect; I don’t recall exactly. It is definitely not true of me, but when I quoted or near-quoted the letter to a friend, she suggested that it was true of some people: if many leading Republicans now seems soulless, it is because they poured their souls out to be consumed by Donald Trump. She’s a Christian, by the way.

As to the letter, I put a stamp on the envelope, and stuffed some of the rubbish Eric’s people had sent me therein. Maybe someone will waste a minute looking for a check.
