Signs of Spring

After rain the last few days, today turned out bright, although not warm. I spotted buds on some trees, magnolia blossoms on a couple of trees, yellow flowers on the ground, and a forsythia hedge turned bright yellow. I hope to see masses of cherry blossoms soon.

My grandmother said the country name for forsythia was yellow bells. I wish I'd had the interest then to ask her more.
