Insufficient Cynicism

The latest issue of Analog fills some space at the bottom of a page with a witticism by Voltaire: “To succeed in the world, it is not enough to be stupid.  One must also be well-mannered.”

Unfortunately, Trump has demonstrated that Voltaire was mistaken; a stupid man who is also ill-mannered can achieve great success.
