Laundry Trouble

I ought to be in bed by now, but the drier into which I put my clothes did not heat or dry them, at least not much, so I put them in the drier I had used for my sheets and towels, which worked. I will soon go downstairs and learn whether it has worked again, or is now on strike in sympathy with its comrade machine.
