ndrosenThe U.S. Patent Office has issued Patent 10,000,000. U.S. Patent 5,800,000 was published the day after I started by job in 1998, and U.S. Patent 6,000,000 a year and three month or so later, in December of 1999, so more than 40% of U.S. patents have been issued in the less than twenty years that I’ve been working.
My supervisor, He Who May Not Be Named, is slightly younger than I am, but has been in the job longer, not having spent years as an ewiger Student, and he told me that more than half of all U.S. patent have been issued since he was hired.
