I didn't get any amendments this week (although a couple of cases in my Rejected docket have amendments that will get processed sooner or later), and I finished Office Actions on two amendments, so I'm down from seven regular Amended cases to four. Why four instead of five? My docket of Amendments also had a reply to a restriction requirement, where I had said there were multiple inventions, and required the applicant to choose which set of claims he wanted examined. The applicant elected an invention which is not in my area, so I tried to get the case transferred elsewhere in the Patent Office. It was treated like a hot potato, but the dispute was finally resolved, and it is in the hands of someone other than myself, and off my docket at last.

On Monday, I finished a Regular New case in time to get it counted for the previous biweek and the previous quarter. I may manage my current oldest Regular New case next week, or maybe not.

Oh, and I'm posting at 2:00 AM because after a long day and a substantial dinner, I took a nap, and am now awake and online. I will go to bed in due course.
