A Bicycle Built for Two

ndrosenSaturday afternoon, I had bought groceries at Giant Food, and was headed home. I started crossing Columbia Pike, headed south, and saw two young adults (I think), headed north. The man mounted a bicycle, and the woman did likewise; I realized that the bicycle had two seats.
“I can’t afford a carriage,
“But you’d look sweet upon the seat,
“Of a bicycle built for two.”
Oh, and when I tried to walk east, toward my apartment, I found that the sidewalk was blocked (a major renovation project is underway), soI had to go back, recross Columbia Pike to the north side, walk a couple of blocks, and then cross to the south side.
