Vacation

I am in the Philadelphia area, visiting with my sister and niece. The household also includes a dog (about one quarter Dalmatian, according to a DNA analysis service), and two cats. The dog is less hyperactive than she was as a puppy, but still wants me to pet and scritch her. One of the cats has rubbed against me and let me stroke her. The teenage niece has been doing pretty well in school, and her classes for next year include Japanese.

My sister and I have talked a bit about our home town, the dogs the family had when we were younger, and so forth. I’m in the house now, but will soon return to my hotel (there’s no spare room in the house).

I don’t know how reliable it is, but the dog does look Dalmatian-ish, and behaves rather like a Dalmatian, from what I’ve read about Dalmatians.
