Last week, I received an appeal for contributions from Turning Point USA; let it be said that I actually agree with what the letter said about opposing socialist ideas among young people, but since I associate the organization with Trumpism, and do not in any case intend to make a donation to every group claiming to do something which I approve of, I put the paper parts in recycling, and the plastic in the garbage.

Late Monday, the phone rang, and I heard a voice saying that he was Charlie Kirk of Turning Point USA, and welcome to their nationwide panel discussion, something in which I had certainly not expressed any interest. I hung up the telephone, of course.
