Canine Encounter

When I was headed to Whole Food earlier today, I met a man walking his dog, possibly a boxer, or part boxer. The dog was quite friendly, although not really willing to hold still to be petted. Nonetheless, we became acquainted.

This is being posted partly for a certain friend of mine who has expressed concern about whether I am still meeting dogs.

When we were packing up our car to head home from Phoenix yesterday afternoon, we were at the stage where the main thing that remained was attaching bike rack and bike. The dogs were loaded. My wife had taken them for a short run - all three attached to the bike - in the vain hopes that it might tire them a little. Suddenly the car erupts in barks. We look around for a stray cat or dog, see nothing except a couple walking down the sidewalk. And trailing behind them a very pretty golden retriever. Eventually she hears the adoration she's receiving and runs up to the car to see her new adorers - two standard poodles and a blue tick hound. Eventually the owners are able to get her to resume their walk.

It seems that plenty of people find golden retrievers adorable, including other dogs, not just humans.
