Little Things
Jan. 15th, 2017 07:58 pmI have begun reading Malory's Morte d'Arthur; the book I have basically follows Caxton's edition, with a few corrections.
I met a human couple, a man and a woman, walking a pair of lady hounds, one of them an actual basset hound and the other a basset/something mix. I got jumped on a little, and I got to do a little hound-petting, as well as mentioning that I used to have a beagle, whom I would take to visit a pair of bassets in a fenced-in yard; the dogs could sniff at each other through the fence, and I could reach over it to do some petting. The purebred basset I met today seemed notably broad and thick, clearly a hound who liked her dinner.
