Praise for a Product and a Business
Dec. 29th, 2020 01:53 amFor my dessert Sunday night, I ate half of a Madecasse dark chocolate bar, made in Madagascar. It was wonderful, with a fruity flavor to the chocolate. There may be better vocabulary to describe this food of the gods, but I don’t know it. If you have a few dollars to spare for gastronomy, and want to support the chocolate growers and a manufacturer in a very poor country, here’s a way to treat yourself, and, I hope, help other people.
A month or so ago, I ordered some books from Barnes & Noble. The box was supposedly delivered in early December, but I never saw it. We have locked boxes and a secure room to make things harder for porch pirates, but anyway. I managed to get through to B&N’s customer service, and the gentleman told me that they would re-send the books free of charge; I now have one, and I hope the others will arrive. My relatives should receive holiday presents, even if belatedly. Good on Barnes and Noble.
