Fundraising for Ukraine
Jun. 19th, 2025 05:59 pmThere was an article in Reason about citizen fundraisers outpacing the European Union in arming Ukraine. This was largely in the context of Europe, where, for example, Czechia has been aiding Ukraine substantially, and some of the Slovakian people have joined in, although Slovakia’s current government is Russian-influenced.
I myself have made donations to aid Ukraine through its official arm, Ukraine House, and also through a private organization, Razom for Ukraine . “Razom” is Ukrainian for “together”.
Other people may wish to join in helping Ukraine to defend itself and to cope with the damage done by Russian aggression. I wish to say, though, that today is a federal holiday, so I am not at work now, and also that my suggestion to join aiding Ukraine does not apply to you if you have business before the Patent Office, you are a fellow federal employee, or if it would otherwise be improper for me to solicit contributions from you.
