It Won’t Protect Kids
Aug. 22nd, 2024 03:00 amSenator Rand Paul has explained how the Kids’ Online Safety Act won’t protect kids, and will be harmful and unjust in various ways; for example, people and firms who put anything up on the Internet will face liability if it somehow harms any juvenile’s vaguely defined “mental health”, even if it is truthful, legitimate by ordinary standards, and actively beneficial to a number of other persons under eighteen. Unfortunately, the Senate has passed the bill; you may wish to write to your Congressman to stop the House of Representatives from doing the same.
