A week or two ago, I bought a can of Gardein vegetarian chili, made with textured soy protein, not beans. I had it for dinner Monday and Tuesday; I sautéed some onion, green bel pepper, and garlic, and then added the chili, on which I sprinkled turmeric, and a few dashes of Tabasco sauce, since it wasn’t spicy enough for me. I cooked brown rice each day, and on Tuesday, I opened my last bottle of Leffe Blond beer, and poured half of it into a glass.

I also had a green salad with tomatoes, bell pepper, and on Monday cucumber. Dessert each night was a couple of the chocolate chip cookies which I baked Monday.
