Wednesday evening I went out to dinner at Thai Square, where I tried something different: instead of my usual Pad Thai Jae entree, I ordered bean curd with bean sprouts (no fish sauce), as well as a salad to begin, and then a dessert of sweet sticky rice with coconut cream and black beans. The main dish had a bit of green onion as well as the sprouts, and was delicious, if spicy. The salad was also spicy, which probably makes sense in the Thai climate, getting people to sweat so they’ll cool off a bit.

I also enjoyed the dessert, which I’ve eaten before. I wonder who in that part of the world decided that beans would work in a sweet dish, but I am fond of the combination.
I got one amendment this week, and completed an Office Action in response, so I’m back to having no amendments.

I also completed a first action rejection on one of my Regular New cases, and I have begun working on another Regular New, which may or may not be my oldest Regular New next biweek. Basically, I just need to do a first action on it, or on something, by the end of Thursday the 30th, and my production for the fiscal year will be adequate.
Mona Charen has an article in The Bulwark explaining why she is a single issue voter.

One of the United States’s major parties is fiscally irresponsible, and dedicated to pursuing policies of government expansion that I greatly oppose. The other is worse.
