A few days ago, the Washington Post printed an obituary for Tempest Storm, a ninety-three year old former burlesque performer. This was of interest to me because I remember the (stage) name from a mention in one of the Gavagan’s Bar stories by Sprague de Camp and Fletcher Pratt.
The cherry blossoms are long gone and the flowers on some of the trees (crepe myrtle, I think) are on their way out, but it was a warm day today, and on my evening walk, I saw multiple azalea bushes, with flowers in different colors.
