Paul Justus, R.I.P.

I have heard by email of the death of one of my Georgist friends, Paul Justus, age seventy, a few weeks ago. Apparently, he went out for a walk, and suddenly died, presumably of a heart attack or stroke. He was active in several Georgist organizations, and the author of Young George and the Dragon: An Economic Fairy Tale. I just had the impression of a pleasant, personable man.

The Red Queen’s Race

This week, I got one After Final amendment on my Expedited docket, and dealt with it swiftly. I also got one regular amendment on my Amended docket, and completed an Office Action on an older amendment, so I’m back at three amendments on my Amended docket. I also worked on another amendment, and discussed it with the patent attorney, who said that he would get in touch with his client (in a foreign country), and try to get back me next week; maybe the client will agree to my proposed changes to make it allowable, or I may have to do a Final Rejection.

I also finished a first action on my oldest Regular New application.
