Here — let those with delicate stomachs be warned — is an account of the conditions imposed on human beings, including children, seeking asylum, for which Donald Trump and those carrying out his orders are responsible. Donald Trump is a nominal Christian, who has assured America’s Evangelicals that he is on their side in the supposed War on Christmas. Some of his followers are serious Christians, or at least people whose church attendance and way of speaking make them plausible facsimiles of serious Christians.

Merry Christmas to all, especially to those whose Christmas, at least judged by external circumstances, is not likely to be merry.
