Thanksgiving
Nov. 28th, 2019 10:47 pmFirst, a word for Turkey Day. I’m not taking about the bird, which, unlike many Americans, I didn’t eat for dinner today, but about Sultan Erdogan’s corrupt dealings with America’s crooked president. This certainly sounds like it should be yet another count in the impeachment.
But we should try to practice gratitude, even those of us who are skeptical about a Creator to whom we can be grateful. Whatever else may be wrong, I will pause to thank whatever God there may be that I and many millions of other Americans are well fed, healthy, and enjoying comforts which the Pilgrims could scarcely have imagined.
Let us also be grateful that despite people like Trump, Stephen Miller, and Rudy Giuliani, we also have American heroes like Adam Schiff, Robert Mueller, Fiona Hill, and Alexander Vindman. Whatever our would-be Mussolini’s intentions, the country remains free, and there is still hope of seeing the sociopathic toddler and his minions removed from office, lustration performed, and our country’s real problems addressed.
