On Thursday, USPTO Toastmasters celebrated its fiftieth anniversary; several guests came by, and I ate rather too much eggless strawberry-vanilla cake, as well as eating some vegetables with hummus. For our fortieth anniversary, several former Patent Office men who had been in the Toastmasters club decades earlier attended; unfortunately, neither of them was in condition to visit this time.

There was cake left over, and someone decided to give a piece to each of the security guards at the building entrances. Our special meeting was on the ground floor of Knox Building; since the guards there were already taken care of, I volunteered to take a pair of pieces over to Remsen Building, where they were gratefully accepted.
This week, I got one item on my Expedited docket, an Information Disclosure Statement for an allowed case; the applicant had filed the IDS after I allowed the case, but before the allowance was mailed (or, more likely, electronically transmitted) to the applicant. So I considered the one document listed on the IDS, concluded that it did not require me to withdraw my finding of allowability, and made that of record. I also finished an Office Action on the one amendment on my Amended docket, so now I’ve cleared all my amendments of any kind, and am down to zero.

I finished my then-oldest Regular New shortly before 3:00 PM Tuesday, and I’ve been working on this biweek’s oldest Regular New.
