In the evening of July 28, 2017, I attended the membership meeting of the Henry George Institute this was not, strictly speaking, part of the Georgist Conference, but a number of members were conveniently present, so we held a meeting. Our Executive Director, Lindy Davies, reported. We should revamp our website to be mobile-friendly; it was one of the first two Georgist websites, along with the Progress Report, back in 1996.

We're doing online teaching, and revising the course, so students are no longer reading all of Progress and Poverty.

There are several websites for the Institute, with different material: henrygeorge.org, landreform.org, truefreetrade.org and politicaleconomy.org. We get about 600 visits a year at HG.org, and 200 for LR.org. We're not so good at actually getting people to finish courses. About fifteen to twenty per month begin, but don't all get through the course.

There are plans for a series of online seminars, for which people might even pay a few dollars.

Empirical approach: what are people looking for? Listen more.

Sell them what they want; give them what they need.

We need to provide intriguing, interesting follow-up, and deliver a quality product.

To be continued.
