Financial Times Person of the Year
Dec. 13th, 2017 09:16 pmThe Financial Times has declared Susan Fowler its Person of the Year. Huzzah for Ms Fowler! I had read about her blowing the whistle on sexual harassment at Uber, but I hadn't known where she came from. She grew up poor, didn't get a high school diploma, worked as a babysitter and ranch hand, read books from the library, and managed to go to college and get a degree in physics, despite her lack of a high school math background. As a fellow possessor of a degree in physics, let me say that I couldn't have done that.
She is one impressive lady.
