No new amendments arrived, and I finished an Office Action on the amendment which was on my Expedited docket. I also wrote an Office Action on one of the three cases on my Amended docket, but I couldn’t post it for credit, since it was an Examiner’s Answer responding to an Appeal Brief. Instead, I posted it to my supervisor for consultation. If she signs it, and then a second supervisor signs it, I will be able to post it for credit, and then, at some future time, the Board of Appeals will decide how to rule on it. Meanwhile, I am still at three cases on my Amended docket, but down to zero on my Expedited docket.

I also finished a first action on my oldest Regular New application. This coming week, I hope to do a first action on another Regular New case. There’s just one week left in the third quarter.
I began the week with three amendments on my Amended docket, and finished an Office Action on the earliest filed of them, after which another case appeared on my Amended docket, bringing the total back to three, although this newest isn’t exactly an amendment, but an Appeal Brief, appealing my final rejection of the case. Then an amendment appeared on my Expedited docket, so I’m up to a total of four cases, one of them Expedited.

Early in the week, I finished a new rejection on the one Request for Continued Examination application on my Regular New docket. Friday evening, I finished an Office Action on the oldest non-RCE Regular New application, so it’s been a productive week. There is now one biweek left in the third quarter, so I will need to continue being productive.
Last Saturday, I did finish the first action on a Regular New case that I had been working on, and did so in time to post it for last biweek, so that was good.

Someone filed another amendment, bringing my Amended docket up to three cases. I’ve been working on the earliest files of the three, and hope to finish it today, and get it posted. We notoriously lazy government bureaucrats sometimes need to work unpaid overtime on weekends and holidays in order to meet our production quotas. I also got two cases on my Expedited docket this week, one of them being an After Final amendment, and the other a printer’s query pointing out errors in an Allowance of mine, leading me to churn out a Corrected Notice of Allowability. I did what was needed, and have cleared my Expedited docket.

I have two oldest Regular New cases, a truly new one, and a Request for Continued Examination case. I hope to do the RCE quickly, and then work on the entirely new application. I also have two interviews with patent attorneys scheduled for next week. Then there is a case on my Regular New docket that doesn’t belong there (not in my field), so I spent some time this past week communicating with people, and finding a home for it. I will now officially do a C star challenge to get it docketed to someone in a different Technology Center.
Someone filed another amendment, so I’m now at two amendments on my Amended docket. Someone also filed a post-allowance amendment to correct minor informalities, which showed up on my Expedited docket; I dealt with that, so it’s no there, and my Expedited docket is clear.

I have also worked on an Office Action dealing with several issues in my oldest Regular New application. I’m hoping to finish it today, in time to get it counted for this biweek. (Some of my time has been eaten up by computer troubles.)
This week, I wrote and posted an Office Action on the one amendment that I had before; someone filed another amendment, so I’m back at one amendment on my Amended docket.

I’ve also been working on searching the prior art for my oldest Regular New application, but I haven’t actually started writing yet.
This week, I finished Office Actions on two of my three amendments, so my Amended docket is down to one application.
This week, I worked on an amendment, and finished an Office Action, so I’m down from four cases on my Amended docket to three. I am now working on my current oldest amendment.

I finished an Office Action on my oldest Regular New application.
No new amendments appeared this week, and I didn’t write Office Actions on any existing amendments, so I still have four cases on my Amended docket.

I have been working on my oldest Regular New application, which has presented various complications, so I have still not finished the Office Action, but I’m working on it.
This week, an After Final amendment showed up on my Expedited docket, so I dealt with that, and am now back to four amendments on my Amended docket, and nothing on my Expedited docket.

I also finished and posted an Office Action on the oldest (only) Request for Continued Examination case on my Regular New docket, and have done some work on the oldest non-RCE Regular New application.
Earlier this week, I got yet another amendment, bringing the total on my docket of Amendments to five. A few minutes ago, I finished an Office Action on my oldest amendment, bringing the number of amendments back down to four.

I finished an Office Action on my oldest non-RCE Regular New application this week. I also acquired an oldest Request for Continued Examination case on my Regular New docket this week, and I expect that within twenty-six hours, one of my cases will be declared the oldest Regular New non-RCE case for the next biweek.
Early last week, I finished an Office Action on my oldest amendment. Later in the week, a new amendment appeared, so I’m back to having four cases on my Amended docket.

I also worked on searching my oldest Regular New application, and began writing an Office Action, although I didn’t finish it. More work to be done this coming week.
Early this week, I completed an Office Action on the remaining amendment on my Expedited docket. On Thursday, an After Final amendment appeared on my Expedited docket, and I responded to that. A new amendment has also appeared on my docket of Amendments; I have been working on the oldest amendment on my Amended docket, but I’m not finished, so my Amended docket is currently up to four cases, while my Expedited docket is down to zero.

I also finished an Office Action on my oldest Regular New application this week. The end of the quarter is at hand, and my production is sufficient that they will let me work for another three months.
This week, two amendments appeared on my Expedited docket. I have done an Office Action on one of them, so I am currently at four amendments, three on my Amended docket, and one on my Expedited docket.

I did some work searching and analyzing my oldest Regular New application, before putting it aside to deal with the Expedited cases. I also did some other work.

There is one week left before the end of the second quarter.
I finished an Office Action last weekend on the amendment which I was working on Friday. Another application showed up on my Amended docket, and then I worked on two of my existing amendments, and finished Office Actions on both, so I’m down from five amendments to three.

I have started on a Regular New application which I expect to be my oldest Regular New case when the new biweek begins, which is on Sunday.

This will be the last biweek of the second quarter, so I will need to be productive.
I called this weekly feature The Red Queen’s Race because I use to typically have a substantial number of amendments on my docket, and I was trying to keep the numbers down. It’s now starting to resemble the old days, since I received another amendment early this week, raising the total to five amendments on my Amended docket. I have been working on one of the older amendments, but I’m not finished yet. I hope to do some more searching, and post an Office Action this weekend.

I did finish an Office Action on my oldest Regular New application a couple of days ago, so that’s something accomplished.
I got another amendment this past week, bringing the total number on my Amended docket to four. I also did a Notice of Abandonment on one of my rejected cases, so there’s that.

And I finished an Office Action on my oldest Special New case, which doesn’t make my production for the biweek great, but is something. Now I need t9 work on Regular New cases and amendments.
This week, I finished and posted an Office Action on my Expedited case, so there’s nothing on my Expedited docket, and three amendments on my Amended docket.

I have also made some progress on my oldest Special New case, now my only Special New case.
This week, I received another amendment on my Amended docket, and a case showed up on my Expedited docket, so I’m up to three applications on my Amended docket, and one on my Expedited docket.

I finished an Office Action on my oldest Special New case, and I worked on my oldest Regular New case, but put that aside, partly because I’m hoping to have some (relevant, I hope) prior art delivered to me, and partly to work on the Expedited case.
This past week, two amendments appeared on my Amended docket, and are still there; I haven’t worked on them. I also got one After Final amendment on my Expedited docket, and I did work on that one, and finished an Office Action, so the case is no longer on my Expedited docket; I just have the two cases on my Amended docket.

I held an interview with an attorney, as he requested. Back on Saturday the 25th, I finished the Request for Continued Examination case on my Regular New docket, and posted that, so my production for last biweek looked good. This week, I worked on my oldest Special New case, and made progress, but without finishing the Office Action.

Here’s the political bonus: last week, I was teleworking on Friday, so when I didn’t finish an Office Action then, I worked on it Saturday, and finished it. This past week, I have been going in to the Patent Office in Carlyle every day, so my current case will probably not be finished Saturday. Instead of working in my own living room, I would need to make at least a forty minute commute each way to put in some more working time, so things won’t be done as fast, and I will be less productive. I suspect that the very stable genius and his friend Elon didn’t anticipate things like this.
This week, I finished an Office Action on my oldest Regular New non-RCE application. I have also been working on a Request for Continued Examination case on my Regular New docket. I haven’t finished the Office Action, but I hope to do so Saturday, and turn post it for credit this biweek, rather than next one.

I don’t have any amendments, but I do have two cases on my Special New docket, so next biweek, I will work on one of them, as well as my next oldest Regular New case.

Also, multiple patent attorneys wanted to hold interviews recently, so I had three interviews this week, four interviews this biweek, and did Interview Summaries for each of them, which I then posted.
