DeSantis Call

The other day, I received a telephone call urging me to support Ron DeSantis; the recorded speaker identified himself as DeSantis’s campaign manager, and requested that I press 1 on my phone, which I didn’t do. The despiriting thing about this minor annoyance was that the spiel assumed that I was a Trump supporter, and appealed to me as such. DeSantis presumably either doesn’t think that there are many anti-Trump non-Democrats out there for him to worry about, or sees a future in GOP politics as Trump’s heir, rather than, say, Barry Goldwater’s.
