No new amendments appeared this week, and I finished and posted an Office Action on the one amendment I had, so I’m down to zero amendments at the moment.

I also finished an Office Action on the single Request for Continued Examination case I had on my Regular New docket. I have now been working on another Regular New application.

Julius Jones Again

Professor Austin Sarat writes eloquently on the cruelty masquerading as mercy of Governor Stitt’s commutation of Julius Jones’s death sentence to life without the possibility of parole. I agree. Nonetheless, there is hope that we will yet see Mr. Jones’s innocence (if he be innocent) established, and the man himself set free.
