Two Toasts

I opened the 50 milliliter (less than two ounce) bottle of Grand Marnier I’ve had for quite a few moons (I’m not the liquor industry’s best customer), and poured the remaining brandy into a glass tonight. I drank two toasts after dinner: “To Biden’s victory and Trump’s defeat”, and then “Long live freedom and damn the ideologies.”

I don’t share Joe Biden’s views, or hold an exalted opinion of his wisdom and ability, but at least he isn’t Trump.
